Helping others has become my career and passion in life. My education includes a Masters of Social Work from McGill University; a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University; and a Bachelor of Psychology from McMaster University.

I am a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers, and have been since its inception in 2000. Before that, I was a member of the Ontario College of Certified Social Workers. I am also currently a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

I have been counselling families professionally since 1989, with a concentration on young children beginning in 1993. I have led and/or run many various parenting courses and groups since 1995.

Most importantly, I am a mother of two young children and as such I have gained valuable, hands on, practical experience with the techniques and values I teach. I know they work because I’ve seen the results in my own family life.
